Neochrom-VOC gas chromatograph for analysis of volatile organic compounds
Analytical complex Neochrom-VOC intended for gas chromatographic determination of volatile organic compounds (VOC) in paint materials, solvents, thinners and raw materials for their production.
The complex allows you to determine the quantitative content of volatile organic compounds, examine the component composition of solvents and solvent blends, identify individual organic components and, with the appropriate configuration of the device, determine the water content.
Standard VOC determination methods
Neochrom-VOC can be used to implement methods for determining volatile organic compounds according to:
- ISO 11890-2 — determination of the content of volatile (VOC) and semi-volatile (SVOC) organic compounds by gas chromatography method;
- GOST 31991.2 — determination of the content of volatile organic compounds in paint materials by gas chromatography method;
- ISO 11890-1 and GOST 31991.1 — determination of the total VOC content for materials with a high content of volatile components;
- ISO 17895 — gas chromatographic determination of low VOC concentrations by headspace analysis, with the system appropriately equipped.
Analytical capabilities of Neochrom-VOC
- Determination of VOC content in paints, varnishes, enamels, primers, solvents, thinners and other paint products.
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis of solvents: alcohols, ketones, esters, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons and other components of organic solvents.
- Determination of the component composition of solvents and assessment of their petroleum and aromatic fractions: naphtha and kerosene fractions, xylenes and other hydrocarbon mixtures.
- Control of raw materials and finished products: comparison of batches, detection of recipe changes, control of the composition of solvents and technological mixtures.
- When equipped with a thermal conductivity detector (TCD) it is possible to determine water on a polymer sorbent with a sensitivity of up to 0.0002%.
The complex can be equipped with various types of detectors, automatic sample introduction systems and software for identification and quantitative calculation of components. The configuration is selected according to the sample composition, concentration range and regulatory methodology.
